About
My interest in painting portraits became the main focus in 2003, while I was helping to run the family business. We ran a Georgian hotel/ restaurant located on the wild north coast of Cornwall. I painted in my room and used the hotel as a gallery for my work. One of these paintings was a portrait of the chef. It was suggested that I enter it into the BP Portrait awards at the National Portrait Gallery. I took the advice and was successful. In the same year I was a finalist at the Daily Mail’s Not the Turner Prize awards with a large canvas of my great grandparents. The painting is on display at the Gurnard's Head Hotel near Zennor.
I now live in Penzance where I have a studio. In recent years I have painted portraits for London Business School and Bristol University and I am available to take on private and corporate commissions.
