My interest in drawing and painting dates back to early childhood. I have always had a compulsion to draw, and this led me to art school when I was sixteen years old.

Having work selected for the BP Portrait Award in 2003 was the catalyst for my practice as a portrait painter. Over time I have come to realize that making a good portrait is not just about good technique. Drawing is at the heart of what I do, and through this process I strive to bring different elements of design into my painting .

I work to commission for private clients and institutions and exhibit at shows that include The Royal Society of Portrait Painters and The Royal West of England Academy.
